Easter Camp
Easter is a special time to reflect, remember, and worship our Creator for His greatest gift salvation. And what better way to celebrate than alongside an epic crew of surfers on the beautiful coast of Oakura, Taranaki?
The Christian Surfers Easter Camp is an annual gathering open to all ages. It’s a relaxed, fun-filled weekend with plenty of time for surfing, hanging out with mates, and enjoying everything Taranaki has to offer. Each evening, we’ll come together for worship and hear from incredible speakers who’ll inspire and encourage us in faith and life. And of course, it wouldn’t be Easter Camp without the legendary Christian Surfers Curry Comp, Surf Comp, and Skate Comp! We’d love for you and your whānau to join us for another unforgettable Easter weekend!
Event Overview
Easter Camp is one of our favourite events of the year, and this Easter we’re stoked to be heading back to Oakura Holiday Park from April 2nd to 6th (see event fees below). It’s always such a great weekend and a true reflection of our wider Christian Surfers community, with families, young people, and plenty of new faces to connect with. So what are you waiting for? Tell your mates, round up the family, and lock in your spot for an unforgettable Easter weekend.
Please note that individuals under the age of 17 (or those without access to a car they can drive themselves) must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Taranaki is renowned for its many surfing spots, which is fantastic! However, it’s important to note that each individual is responsible for their own transportation to and from the surf.

Camp Info
We’re so grateful to Oakura Beach Holiday Park, a place that’s hosted many Christian Surfers Easter Camps over the years. It’s a beautiful campground, and we’re lucky to have most of it to ourselves for the weekend. When you arrive, you can set up your tent anywhere within the red box area. If you’re staying in a cabin, please make sure you’ve booked ahead, and note that powered sites are limited, so if you’re keen for a powered site, get in early (these will not be reserved).
This is a self-catered camp, so remember to bring your own cooking utensils, pots, pans, and food for the weekend. The camp kitchen has a few ovens, stoves, and fridges available, but space is limited, so plan accordingly. The main bathroom block has great showers (they’re coin-operated, so don’t forget to bring a few dollar coins).
If you’re in a cabin, some have bedding available at a cost, and basic cooking gear is included in some cabins. Lastly, make sure your camping gear is suited for all weather conditions, and help us keep this amazing campground clean and tidy throughout the weekend.
